August 8, 5–8 pm: Ignite!Nite:Westbound
Trains, planes and automobiles are just some of the ways we have explored Colorado. Race cars on our big floor map, explore scenic railroads that criss-cross the state and learn about transit plans for the future.
September 12, 5–8 pm: Ignite!Nite:Metro Boomin’
Cities don’t just pop up overnight – they’re planned out by elected officials, urban planners, and most often by people with lots of cash. But does it always have to be that way? Warm Cookies of the Revolution asked a comedian and an activist. Find out what they came up with for “Ideal City.”
October 10, 5–8 pm: Ignite!Nite:Story
Every story deserves a good title, especially stories that stand the test of time. Join us as we explore the nuance of titles using giant word tiles, professional writers from Lighthouse Writers Workshop and art historians from the American Museum of Western Art. Help us rewrite the title and captions to iconic works of art. You’ll also get a chance to enjoy the stories in the stars in a portable dome from the Fiske Planitarium.
