Tiny Library Concerts

History Colorado’s Tiny Library Concert series features local Colorado musicians in the unusual and intimate space of the museum’s Stephen H. Hart Library & Research Center. The concert series is part of History Colorado’s ongoing mission to document the history of Colorado music, past and present.

SPARK! Cultural Programming for People with Memory Loss
History Colorado Center

SPARK! Programs take place from 2:30 to 3:30pm
In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, SPARK! programs invite people with early to mid-stage memory loss and their care partners to enjoy interactive experiences in a welcoming environment. Each program covers a different exhibit and includes hands-on multi-sensory activities. 
 
February 13, 2017: Explore the history of Mesa Verde in our exhibits and hear some stories from a former park ranger.
 
May 8, 2017: Together we’ll explore History Colorado Center’s newest exhibit Backstory: Western Art in Context. We’ll tour the exhibit and do an art activity.
 
August 7, 2017: Step back in time to 1920 in the eastern Colorado town of Keota. We’ll tour the exhibit Destination Colorado and see artifacts from that time period.
 
November 13, 2017: Join us for a virtual walking tour of Denver.  We’ll start at our 1860s diorama of the city, and then explore the exhibit Denver A-Z and discuss Denver’s past, present and future.
